Welcome to the Washington Summer Youth Experience at Episcopal High School, a week-long academic overnight camp for rising seventh through ninth graders in our nation's capital. Formerly known as the Episcopal Summer Institute, the Washington Summer Youth Experience has been revamped in 2020 to include enhanced program offerings and more time exploring the splendors of Washington, D.C.!

Located on the historic Episcopal High School campus in Alexandria, Virginia, just minutes away from Washington’s most prominent monuments, museums, and political landmarks, and taught by Episcopal’s renowned faculty, our small class sizes, high-tech classrooms and state-of-the-art facilities offer an immersive experience for students looking to exploring topics such as leadership, photography, and biotechnology.

The Photography Institute

The Photography Institute introduces students to the power and impact of photography and how it helps to shape and visualize the world around us. Through the use of Episcopal High School’s state-of-the-art facilities and experiential programming, students will develop their personal photography aesthetic and portfolio.

Through hands-on projects, interactive lab work and visits to D.C.’s world-class biotech research facilities, students will gain valuable insight and experience in this growing field.
