Joe is a retired U.S. Navy captain who recently completed more than 26 years on active duty as both a line officer and a member of the Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. His naval service took him all over the world, including assignments on an aircraft carrier and a destroyer. His final job on active duty was at the Pentagon in the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs. Throughout his Navy career, but especially as a senior officer, Joe’s favorite part of every tour of duty was teaching, mentoring, and leading young junior officers and enlisted sailors.
At EHS, Joe teaches social studies, coaches cross country and cross-training, and serves on the Evans Dorm team. He lives in Alexandria with his wife, Carolyn.
