D.C. Discovery Weekend

D.C. Discovery Weekend allows students who wish to explore multiple Episcopal Summer Institute programs to stay on campus between sessions and enjoy all the fun and excitement that Washington, D.C. has to offer. Activities may include field trips to museums, local parks, recreation facilities, sporting events and performances, as well as time to relax on campus and take advantage of Episcopal High School's world class facilities.

Kathleen Caslow

Math & Science

Kathleen brings her passion for academics and making connections with her students to her tenure with the Episcopal Summer Institute. During the school year, she works to engage young learners to become partners in the process, so they understand the value of how the topics build into life experiences. She serves as a "rover" administrator in the residential community and has previously worked for George Washington University and the National Institutes of Health, where she conducted AIDS and cancer research.

The Photography Institute

The Photography Institute introduces students to the power and impact of photography and how it helps to shape and visualize the world around us. Through the use of Episcopal High School’s state-of-the-art facilities and experiential programming, students will develop their personal photography aesthetic and portfolio.

The Leadership Institute is a character-driven learning experience that further develops students’ leadership skills and values. Through conversations with current leaders in politics, the military, education, business and law, students will explore their personal values and ethics to learn how to be leaders with a positive impact in their own communities.
